Created by Rebecca Beckler, PSM® combines traditional Pilates movement from both mat and large equipment classes, and translates them onto the suspension straps to build core strength, flexibility, and encourage fluidity in the body and fascia

EQUIPMENT PROVIDED — Yoga mats, yoga blocks, yoga straps, bolsters, blankets, Pilates reformer, Pilates chair, resistance bands, Pilates rings, stability balls, light hand weights, suspension straps (TRX or similar), foam rollers.

meet the founder

Leila Hooshmand, founder of Mind Over Matter Studio, located in Medfield, MA overlooking the beautiful and serene Kingsbury Pond. Leila has been a pilates and yoga instructor for nearly two decades having completed extensive training in mat, reformer, and Stott Method Pilates, including certifications in Pilates Suspension Method (PSM)®. She received her 200-hour certification from Open Doors Yoga Studio, and her 300-hour certification from Down Under Yoga Studio. Leila is a lifelong learner committed to deepening her expertise through ongoing educational experiences. She has trained at Kripalu, a renowned yoga and wellness retreat center in Western Massachusetts

Leila’s philosophy and practice are influenced by top instructors, blending creative pilates movement and exercise. Classes are focused on helping you age gracefully, build a strong mind-body connection, and drive mobility, flexibility, strength, and rejuvenation. Leila credits her health and vitality to her lifelong practice.
